ShelterCoat Custom Round Wind and Snow Rated Shelter, 10 ft. x 16 ft. x 8 ft. Standard PE 9 oz. Gray Reviews

2.8 Rating 6 Reviews
The recent purchase of a Shelter Logic 10x16x8 was short lived. Installed to specification and properly screwed to the ice. Out Shelter lasted only on day when Mondays wind event not only pulled apart the cover, but managed to make the entire structure look like a pretzle. A few modifications would have increased the viability of the structure; the incorporation of angled tubes such as existed at the entrance to the unit may have increased its durability, but alas that was not the case.

Kit had incorrect pipes and would not assemble correctly, had to call customer service and wait for parts to be sent. No notice on box that a door kit was not included and needed to roll up the door which is an added cost. Directions were confusing. A suggestion would be to number coordinating pipes so assembly would be easier

The installation is straight forward and well detailed. The quality of all the parts and pieces is very good. The only frustrating thing is that you need to disassemble so much to install the front and rear wall covers as well as the main cover. It would also be good if there were some built in vents.

We assembled this storage shed in November 2017. All hardware was labelled and assembled with little difficulty. Now three years later, the peak of the shed is beginning to show tears front to back. The building sees roughly 6-7 hours of moderate sun per day and we rarely get a snow fall over 2-4 inches, maybe three per year. I feel that a 700.00 shed should last more than three years before deteriorating to the point of patching with duct tape or replacement. And a quick note about the "doors". How ever would someone get the doors to "roll" up when opening with the ropes? Doesn't work.

Hello, We are awfully sorry to see that you are unhappy with your cover. Please know that fabric life is affected by the application, location, and the physical elements the shelter is exposed to. If you live in an area that gets more sun exposure than most of the cover, along with exposure to other elements such as strong winds or snow, it can also affect longevity. We do offer replacement cover kits in Standard, Heavy-Duty and Ultra-Duty material. If you would like to discuss any of this in more detail our customer service team is available 7 days a week at 1-800-932-9344. Thank you, Customer Service
