I had the first cover replaced under warranty and the second cover went just as fast as the first the sun deteriorates them in less than a year here in the okanagan .

Hello Dwayne, We are awfully sorry to see that you are unhappy with your cover. Please know that fabric life is affected by the application, location, and the physical elements the shelter is exposed to. If you live in an area that gets more sun exposure than most of the cover, along with exposure to other elements such as strong winds and snow (if applicable), it can also affect longevity. We do offer replacement cover kits in Standard, Heavy-Duty, and Ultra-Duty material. The heavier materials have longer warranty and life expectancies, which might better suit your needs. If you have any questions or wish to place an order, please call us at 1-800-932-9344. Thank you

I bought a ShelterLogic 12 x 24 garage in a box in 2004/5/6 and set it up in 2013. It survived >12" of snow that I would scrap off in layers with a push broom. The roof fabric broke this winter so it lasted >8 years, whereas, my HF 10 x 17 garage/shed lasted just over a year before the roof fabric tore. ShelterLogic has a great product.

This last weekend we had a wind storm that decided to remove my shelter from my yard into my neighbors. My canopy got ripped up on my fence, but lucky the fame made it without a scratch! Yes, I had all 4 anchors secured which ripped out of the ground with it. Story time.... So I’m standing in my kitchen, looking out my window to start my truck. All I see is my entire shelter fly 25ft above my garage into the power lines! Suspended in the air, I run out and watch in awe. I couldn’t believe my eyes. Just pined like a boxer In the corner, I was useless. Finally it comes crashing down, and flips again into the neighbors yard. Somehow it didn’t cause a power outage, or ruin any power lines thank god. Let alone get hung up in them. Needless to say I will be using cement for the supports next!!!! After all this... somehow the frame was not bent; yes the lower support legs and braces moved. The frame was all intact. We moved this whole thing with just two people!!! We got our Workout for the week after that Hahahaha. Especially in the wind, Literally lifted us off the ground. After a change of underwear, and the shelter home I am more then happy to replace a cover. Im Lucky my neighbor was understand as well; I need to do some siding work this spring on her garage. All in all hese frames are incredible tough! Tough enough that I’m still going to use it after this crazy venture it has taken. I’d like to add that the canopy was showing light through it when inside the canopy looking up at the light. It surpassed its life and was in need of replacement anyway.

Your shelter went on quite an adventure! We are glad to see that the frame was able to make it back undamaged! We suggest anchoring every foot of your shelter for better wind resistance. If you are using your Garage-In-A-Box for a more permanent application then perhaps our heavier covers will better suit your needs. If you would like to discuss in more detail, we are available 7 days a week at 1-800-932-9344. Thank you for taking the time to leave this review and fro continuing to choose Shelterlogic! , Customer Service
