“The top negative review claims it doesn't stay cold enough and even measured the outer surface temperature of the sleeve once it was applied. The average surface temperature of human skin is 91 degree F which means of course if you applied a non sustainable cold pack against it there will be a rapid decrease of temperature over a short period of time. You shouldn't be applying cold therapy for more than 10-15 minutes at a time anyways and I found the sleeve was perfectly cold enough for 10 minutes of cold therapy. What's awesome about this product is as soon as you're done with the cold therapy you can immediately toss it in the microwave for about 35 seconds to apply heat therapy. My suggestion is to follow the instructions because every microwave is different, 10 second increments until you find out what the total amount of time it takes to sufficiently warm up your sleeve. Excellent product overall.”
“I like the way this elbow sleeve chills and covers much of my arm, since my pain from tennis elbow tends to run from above my elbow all the way down to my wrist. I also have pain from both tendons, top and bottom, and this addresses both problems. One warning, however: it is heavy, and I found that I strained my injury further if I tried to walk around with it while holding up my arm. I need to sit down and rest my arm on a padded chair arm while it is chilling, otherwise it is a toss up as to whether I am doing more good by icing the injury or making it worse by straining it further. Don't imagine you can wear this while going about your day.”
“I use these to cool the rash on my inner elbows. They work wonderfully for a few hours. I accidentally fell asleep and left them on after the coolness was gone and they begin to heat up. So if you are going for a cooling effect then be sure to take them off before they heat up. I have not used them for heat but I bet they work wonderfully for that as well.”
“If you are looking for an ice pack that you can put on and not have to hold, this is the one for you. Easy to use and covers all the way around the arm so you are icing everything.”
