“Before finding Fort Belvedere I've always had trouble with socks, either they were too short and kept falling down, or they were too baggy and spilled out over my shoes. While I was originally hesitant to shell out 40 USD on one pair of socks, I don't regret this purchase at all. These socks fit perfectly, are the most comfortable pair I've ever worn and even over a whole day they don't require adjustments. I'm fully satisfied with my purchase and I plan to expand my collection of these socks in the near future (as soon as certain colours are back in size S). The only reason I'm rating this 4 stars instead of 5 is that I reserve that score for something that really knocks my socks off.”

“I love these socks. Comfortable and well made. Stylish. I understand now why people were singing the virtues of knee length socks. I am an avid reader of The Gentlemans Gazette and of fashion. However with postage and an import tax when they arrived here in UK a single pair of socks cost me around Â£60 approx. $80 U.S !!! I would love to buy more but'¦'¦ At least I can read the site. “I'm interested in 8 pairs of socks most of which are sold out. So this is the only pair I ended up buying. With US 10 size feet, I bought M size socks. Before I put on they seem too long and appeared cover my knees, but after I put them on they ended two inches before my knees. They fit so well I trust they will never slip down. They look better than the photos show as the blue tone appear shiny and yet subdued, pleasing to the eyes. It's very thin and even feel cool though it's made of cotton. I've worn Allen Edmond socks for three years but I'm going to convert to Fort Belvedere for good, when the socks are restocked. The craftsmanship alone renders it worth collecting.”

This is not to say that my socks and outfit were mismatched but simply that I didn't see socks as important as the other elements in the outfit, including the shirt, tie, and pocket square.
