“An excellent bowtie that stands out not only by virtue of its very rich and tasteful shade of wine, but most of all by its sophisticated texture. The rougher Shantung silk sets this bowtie subtly apart from the mainstay of its cousins, elevating it to an article for the discerning and indeed advanced wearer of bowties. The latter should also serve as a word of warning, even though not criticism: The rougher Shantung texture makes this bowtie slightly more difficult to tie than one made of smoother Jacquard silk. People unused to tying bowties should thus maybe avoid this and similar ones made from Shantung silk as their first bowtie, subtly elegant though it may be.”

“Before purchasing the shantung silk bow tie from Fort Belvedere, I was struggling to dress up a casual outfit. As a lawyer I am wearing suits and ties during the week and a bow tie is a nice change when dressing up on the weekends. Since wearing the bow tie I have received various compliments - even by complete strangers - on my outfits. I particularly like how the more relax texture of a shantung silk bow tie works nicely with a blazer and jeans.”

“After receiving my bowtie in the mail I was excited to wear it. However to my dismay after the initial time it was worn the seam seperated. Now I have a $90 dollar bowtie with 1" of seam that has come apart. Total time worn 7hrs (single work day). I would purchase another one...but I have a hard time committing if that the quality.”
