“The short of it is, these gloves are solid and in my opinion worth the relatively high cost (in terms of gloves). I recommend them, you won't be disappointed. The break-in period was considerably quick. if you have a wide hand go a half size down. Dominant hand 8.75" middle finger 3 3/16" gloves order: Size 8 When i measured my hand my dominant hand was at about 8.75 and my nondominant hand was 8.5. I had a real tough time deciding if i should stick at 8.5 or go down to 8s. I decided on the 8s because so many people recommended going a half size down but was worried my dominant hand especially would be too large. My palms are wide so i was affraid of being too tight in the palm or too long in the fingers. why spend this much if they're not going to fit well. When i recieved them in their beautiful box they come in i tried them on and fit very snug. Snug enough to raise a concern and consider swapping them for the 8.5. I could not make a fist without feeling a good amount of resistance and could feel the lining threads pressing into my skin. I spoke with their support team and they had me send in a video and visually reviewed the fit and recommended sticking with the 8s. They were very helpful even after me asking them too many questions. I elected to trust their judgment even though i was worried they would always be too tight. I knew from watching the video they would stretch but I was concerned they wouldn't stretch enough. "luckily" the first week i got them the weather was cold enough to wear them everyday, during my commute i slowly tried to influence the stretch by making fists since the knuckles is where it was the tightest. Im pleased to say even after only about 7-10 days i guess ill estimate that at around 4-5 hours of wear time constantly on and off they have stretched considerably to where they're almost perfect, so im sure they will have no problem getting the little bit more shape to make them perfect. It happened much quicker than i was expecting. Im very happy i stuck with the 8s because i know in due time they will fit perfect. The only critique i have that seems to be a trend is the thumb being a smidge long, but not enough to really matter or even effect texting. The touchscreen has worked great with no issues. The burgundy color looks pretty close to the photos if you're wearing them in a low light area and the color really pops like in the video on a sunny day. They look great even with a coat that isn't a dress coat. The cashmere is as soft as you would expect as well as the leather. $170 is a fair ammount of money to me and im very please with them and have zero regrets about buying them. I can tell they are well made, you can really tell in the fingertips where there isn't extra fabric destroying your dexterity. If you're on the fence about it I would say get them, just know they're definitely not an all-purpose glove. If you want to shovel the driveway use ten-dollar Walmart gloves for that and take care of these, they should last you quite a while.”

“Gloves from stores like JC Penney or Macy's were always a bulky and not very elegant. I thought this was unavoidable, but after receiving my gloves from Fort Belvedere I found there are still makers of quality gloves out there. Even after a mix-up with ordering, the staff emailed me promptly and provided exceptional service, making sure I had my order by the time I needed it! I'll definitely be shopping here again! Fort Belvedere and their staff are nothing short of amazing!”

“The only pair of gloves I owned before I purchased this Burgundy Touchscreen Nappa Leather gloves are a pair, probably from Walmart, my great-grandmother bought me about 15 years ago. Over the years they've been very useful, yet they don't fit well, they're ugly, and I have to remove them every time I use my smartphone. This par from Fort belvedere fit like a second layer of skin, they're in a fun color, they are made well, and I can keep them on when I use my smartphone in the cold. Hurray! I haven't had a chance to wear them outside because it's August in Texas but I'm looking forward to wearing them this winter. The one concern I have about them is that they fit very tight. I did measured my dominant hand several times to ensure a proper fit. However, I expect the only issue is that I'm not used to wearing fitted gloves and that I will break them in with increased usage. Overall I think they were a great purchase because they're everything I needed in a glove.”
