“I never wore OTC socks until reading articles on this site. Now I get it,,, now I'm hooked. After a second purchase, I now own 10 pairs. No more mid-calf pinch points. Ultra thin material I thought would be fragile is far from it. I never thought I'd be happy enough with socks that I'd take the time to write a review. This my second.”

“I was tired of wearing black, gray, and navy socks to work that always slid down my leg. Then I discovered Fort Belvedere. After watching several videos about socks and how to match them to my clothes, I ordered several pairs. These are the most comfortable socks I've ever owned, and they're over-the-calf! My wife thinks they look great, and I can get more use of my suits and ties just by changing the socks I'm wearing.”

“I really don’t have a problem with socks slipping, so the over-the-calf seemed like overkill, but they are comfortable and elegant, and I do really like them. The shadow stripes really pop and look fantastic. I would have given them 5 stars except for one minor complaint. My shoe size (10.5) is at the low extreme of the recommended sock size, and so the socks don’t quite fit my feet right, and are a little baggy around the ankle. I may try the next smaller size, but I don’t want to have them too small either. Given that size 10-10.5 is the most common men’s shoe size in the US, it would be nice (and smart) to have a sock size that straddles that size, rather than have them break at that size. Also, I’d love to see some more color combinations, such as a charcoal or grey and purple/lavender, a navy and burgundy, or a navy and light blue, just as examples. But overall I’m very happy with the socks and will definitely be purchasing more.”

“I'm a man with big calves, and I need an over the calf socks that stays up, stays over my calves, and doesn't pinch or bind or (God forbid) cut off my circulation. And even if these basic needs can be met, the sock must be elegant. Not flashy, but the sort of look that you don't immediately notice, but when you do notice it, you are drawn to the look, the quality, even the beauty, and the discernment of the wearer. This is the sock. The color choices seem radical at first - green and purple, teal and purple, camel and burgundy - but paired with the right suit they don't pop out, they don't scream for attention. They do their duty as perfect accessories, they add to the overall presentation. They add interest but don't seem idiosyncratic. I can't say - yet - that these are the only dress socks in my drawer, but I can say that they are my favorites. These socks have become the standard by which I judge my other over the calf dress socks. I've never regretted buying my first pair (green and purple), and since then I've added a few more. I've been complimented on the grey and burgundy socks now twice at work - who gets complimented on socks? But the compliments aren't what's most important. These socks are smooth, comfortable, and they stay up. They look good, feel good to wear and make me feel good wearing them. That's elegance. Worth every penny.”
