“So the gloves themselves? Amazing. The feel amazing over my hands. They are a little loose in the Finger tip area but I don’t expect a comercial glove to fit me perfectly. But these gloves fit better than any off the shelf glove from any store you can just walk into at your mall or jos a bank. The cashmere lining is soft and keeps my hands warm here in Michigan where we do get pretty cold winters. Paired with the right coat, scarf, ear muffs, and hat and you won’t be cold at all this winter while still remaining an appealing classical look in your outfit. Functionality 10/10 Now for my drawbacks. I have already talked to customer service to look into why this happened but there is an issue with the touch screen function with my gloves. The majority of the fingers on my right hand just do not work on any of my devices. The whole canvas used for the thumb hole is unusable for touchscreen capabilities. And you have to angle your thumb to be using the very tip or even the back of the glove for it to work. Same issue with my index finger where it is touch and go literally with its functionality. To me though the touchscreen aspect of the gloves was not even one of the top two reasons why I got these gloves so I personally didn’t want to ask for another pair of gloves to be sent out for this reason and it is something I personally can live with. But this isn’t the only issue I’ve had with the gloves. I don’t know if it is from extensive use or not. Seeing as these are a good pair of gloves I wouldn’t expect use over three weeks to be an issue, but the threads on some of the fingertips started to come loose or come completely off. I haven’t seen any since and only one or two threads have done this so I think it must be something I did rather than what happened when the gloves are made. Now to the final and worst thing that has happened with my gloves. I was out one day while it was raining and when I got to a class I was mentoring some peers in I didn’t notice anything right away. As my gloves are two colors close together and I am a Protan Colorblind person noticing the two colors on my gloves are very difficult for me. But with some free time I began looking at my gloves and to my surprise the “brick contrast” color had been wiped off or washed off by the water showing the “chestnut brown” underneath. I was shocked! It took me a long time due to my colorblind ness to realize but I had the opinion and observations of others to confirm this. I personally have never dyed leather myself. I have worked with some leather making wallets but none were dyed so this could just be a thing with all dyed leather and if so it is something that everyone should keep in mind with their products and be aware of it. But on the other hand if this is something that is not normal I would like to understand why this has happened or how. Though it isn’t that important to me the color of gloves can and probably is very important to a gentleman building uniqueness and making their outfit flow correctly. If not for those three drawbacks this product would easily be rated a four stars or even five stars by me but I have to draw the line somewhere and be honest with my experiences for other gentlemen or women inquiring about buying these gloves. Again I do not know if that is a normal thing to have happen for dyed leather but if it isn’t I would like an explication, for everyone, why this has happened if it isn’t intended. For most of my issues I wouldn’t plan on asking for a refund or another pair of the gloves to be sent to me for my own comparison that is something I would do myself and buy another pair, but I don’t want to throw away the option for the amazing people at gentlemen’s gazette would like to send me a second pair on them for this I wouldn’t mind but I don’t think it is necessary. Over all with their functionality as a warm, well made(despite some defects), amazing feeling pair of gloves these are an amazing purchase for anyone and I still continue to use these gloves till they are no longer able to be used however long that may be. But the things that went wrong with my gloves could be dealbreakers for others and I would like everyone to know what to expect when buying these. And I still do recommend this product and many other things from Fort Belvedere Sincerely, Antonio V. Zavala”

From our previous communication with you, the initial issue mentioned was that of the touchscreen functionality not working properly. This is something that we're definitely looking into. So far, this is an isolated issue. We take pride in our products and we want to make sure that this doesn't happen again. The issue about the brick contrast peeling off is something that we're now hearing for the first time and we're sorry that these drawbacks happened to your order. Without a picture, it's quite hard for us to know if it might be water stain. Nevertheless, we want to make things right for you and our offer to send a replacement still stands. I'm unsure if you replied to the email we sent you yesterday but feel free to let us know how we can make this experience better.

“I'm rating both the product and the customer service 5 stars because A) The gloves are terrific and just as I'd hoped. And B) Because of an error on my end (measurement) I had to exchange my original order for the correct size. Totally bonehead on my part. The transfer went without a hitch. Well done sirs.”
