I had previously purchased a bow tie from an other online provider. The bowtie was so poorly made that it was almost impossible to tie, it felt like it had plastic lining. I finally bit the bullet and payed the price for the Ft Belvedere Single End Bowtie in silk faille grosgrain. I am happy I decided to purchase it. It ties like a tie is meant to and it looks so fine. I especially like the crisp look of the single end bowtie.

I had a tux with grosgrain lapel facings and could not find a bowtie to match. This one did the trick. It does not match exactly because I have a more vintage grosgrain on the lapel facings but it still looks great. I love the single end for the sleek appearance and because it's easier to tie, plus I've received nice compliments.

Love the faille single end bow tie. I wanted a real bow tie but did not like the thick, bunched up look of the double end style. Firt Belvedere had th single end in faille. I wore it with an off-white dinner jacket to aan outdoor semi-formal ball on the north shore of Long Island Sound. Ideal. I rec ived many compliments. A single end appears more flat and sleek than the double end style. I am thin and wear a 16 neck shirt. The video was instructive on how to tie it, though the final tuck was something I had to figure out myself. I had never worn a real bow tie before so I am a novice anyhow. I think it is somewhat short so for any neck over 16 there won't be much of the thin end to tuck. FYI
