Go Bamboo Biodegradable Clothes Pegs 20 Pack Reviews

Introducing Go Bamboo clothes pegs, made from sustainable, biodegradable bamboo with a degradable steel spring, packaged in a recycled cardboard box. We are always finding clothes pegs washed up on our local beach, this is because they fall off the line and get flushed down drains by storm water, eventually finding their way into the sea. Bamboo clothes pegs are an environmentally friendly and sustainable alterative to plastic pegs and are incredibly strong and durable in Australia and NZ's harsh UV conditions. Bamboo naturally contains very few tannins (unlike wooden pegs) so won't stain your light coloured clothes. Storage: Remember these are made of bamboo and metal, so need to be stored inside in your peg basket or laundry. Pegs left outside on the line will eventually rust and go mouldy from rain or morning dew.Size - Box of 20.

Quite small compared to my big plastic ones but seem to do the job. Have had no trouble with mold but then I keep all my pegs in a cloth bag indoors when not using them. As I live in a windy area, I use one wooden peg with a heavy duty plastic one for large items like towels/t-shirts but have no fear for lighter stuff. If the item is very thick, the peg can twist so you have to be careful to realign the two pieces of it otherwise the peg can come off its spring. Will probably replace all my plastic pegs with bamboo AND steel pegs over time. Have some high grade steel ones but so expensive. Bamboo is good environmentally but I'd like them to be bigger!

Received these as a free gift when I purchased soap berries. Unfortunately, even though the pegs were stored in a dry area and not left on the line, they went mouldy. Very disappointing. I've just ordered stainless pegs instead.

Went black and grew mould very quickly (more so than my wooden pegs); and the wire component has rusted. I found them quite stiff, also. Shop Naturally Note: These are made of bamboo and metal. If left out on the line, they will get dew overnight and if it rains will get wet. They are best picked in and stored inside in the laundry or peg bucket :-D

Appear stronger and better quality than wooden pegs. Not able to be left outside. Not as cheap as plastic. Uncertain regarding how long they last, having just bought them. Purchased a few for gifts to get family members to try something non-plastic.
