The "very satisfying sequel to the classic Willard" (The Terror Trap)
"A lot of fun to watch" – TV Guide
Ben is back!
When detective sergeant Cliff Kirtland (Joseph Campanella, Meteor) investigates the horrifying murder of Willard Stiles by a band of rats, he discovers that the rats are now an organized army, and he must destroy the murderous rodents before it is too late. But the rats, led by Ben, the only survivor of the Willard attack, take to the challenge with full force and little fear.
With an Oscar®-nominated* theme song, Ben "presents some genuinely creepy scenes… [and] manages to deliver the goods expected of the genre while getting the audience all misty-eyed…" (TV Guide). Put your feet up – way up – and watch: Ben is an absolute must for everyone who likes a good scare!

Classic sequel Gem of bee movie horror. The new transfer is incredible. Restored picture and sound. Always love Willard, and this is the perfect companion piece for collection. So happy this is finally released to Blu-ray. Highly recommended for horror fans.

A sequel to Willard. This Blu ray by Shout is a miss though. It looks like a blurry DVD. The title card says this is the best print we could find and I had a feeling the picture quality would be bad, and it was, blurry, out of focus, with dull, faded colors. A big difference from the excellent WILLARD Blu Ray. It's a bad print and shouldn't have been released on it's own.. If they had included Ben with Willard as a set then it wouldn't have been as Disappointing....

Sequel to Willard with little of that films charm, this one focuses on the rat Ben and his burgeoning friendship with a child. The child actor was very cloying and the film is almost unbearable at times when it focuses on the boy and Ben. Luckily enough though, the film also focuses on Ben and his new rat army and the film delivers more goods on that score. My biggest gripe about this sequel is that Ben has somehow become a hero in this film when he was highly malevolent in the first film. Makes you wonder if the filmmakers had even seen the first film. Oh well, it's still worth watching (and buying) if you're a big fan of Willard and have been waiting forever for these to be released on DVD or Blu-Ray.
