Women's Transit Jacket CC Alps Blue / Small Reviews

4.6 Rating 20 Reviews
I had the transit pants, which unfortunately are too big, but I had already ordered the jacket to match before I realized it. I was going to return the jacket since I no longer have a full set, however I absolutely fell in love with the jacket. I wear it hiking and mountain biking. It is not just great for rainy days but also windy, cold days. It has just the right amount of insulation to keep from overheating while keeping the core just right regardless of the temp. I love it! I originally ordered a large as I am a 10-12 US in most sizes, but ended up exchanging for a Medium that fits perfectly. I have XL pants that are way too big, so I would recommend the same size bottoms if you are getting both pieces.

Honing in on the right size for Showers Pass jackets proved to be a bit tricky. I first tried an XXL of a different jacket, the Syncline, which fit perfectly but I decided to go with the Transit jacket instead, and ordered the same size. But the transit XXL WAS huge, had to replace it with one size smaller (XL), which fits great—except the sleeves are simian-length on me. But the velcro tabs on the sleeves keep them cinched where I want them. The fabric feels substantial and doesn't have a plastic-y feel, water repellency is very good. The study taped pocket zippers are great too. I don't miss having a hood since I wear a very good rain helmet cover. I opted for the Yelling Yellow color as I want to be very visible on dark and gray rainy roads, and it is a nice deep shade of school-bus yellow. After searching for months and trying various cycling rain jackets, I'm quite pleased with the Transit.

I do love this jacket, but prefer the elite hi-vis jacket w/its larger breast pocket (my phone doesn't fit in this pocket) & its back pocket. This jacket has 2 side pockets & contents bump against my thigh as I ride. Elite is the preferred design for me, but I'll use this one too.

Everything is great about Showers pass rain jackets, except for one change I wish didn't happen. That is the substantial decrease in reflective detail.

This is a great jacket! I had been getting by with an oversized mens jacket in yellow for bicycling in the rain, but so glad an xxl was available in womens in the blue. If I were commuting at night I would want yellow for maximum visibility on my bike, but the blue color makes it a rain coat I am also enjoying wearing around town without my bike. Nice ample fit for layering underneath if needed but feels light-weight, perfect length, and waterproof.

I ordered the smallest size but came out huge! Women's Small should not be like this. Had to return it. Really hope this jacket would come with XS as the other models do.

Love this jacket. Have been wearing it while biking in Toronto Canada over the holidays. The weather hovers around freezing or just below at this time of the year. With a good base layer i have been very comfortable. Great fit and features. I'm sure this jacket will serve me well for years to come!
