“At first when I bought the cups I was not going to buy the lids due to the price, but I'm glad that I ended up splurging. I've dropped the cup plenty of times and there has not been a spill yet. The only issue is sometimes when I have a carbonated beverage and I put the lid on some of it will spill out of the straw. Overall it is a very good lid and we will see how it holds up keeping sand out when my family goes to the beach. If you are debating on whether or not to buy the lid, buy it. My uncle bought a cup and did not buy a lid and he does not use his cup often because if he squeezes it, it spills. Get the lid.”
