I got the silver one because I wear white gold and silver almost exclusively. I just prefer it. This necklace is actually very dainty and feminine looking in person; although, you wouldn't think so per the picture on Amazon. It's the perfect size and given the shorter chain will hang higher on my neck so that it won't get lost as some necklace charms often do. A definite conversation starter for sure.
