“The tubes are plastic covered and may/or not discolour in time, however being plastic has its advantages as I found out, whilst carrying a length of timber in the garage I caught the tube and knocked it clean out of the holder onto the floor.
Put it back in and works fine, had it been glass I would have sweeping up glass and looking for a replacement tube.
