“While I was happy with the Prodigy past 4th grade AMEB level, the Diamond SX has so far been worth the investment to help me progress further. I enjoy practising more now, because the bow is easier to manipulate over its entire length, especially at the frog, so string crossings are smoother, spiccato and sautille are crisper, and most importantly my violin is singing better. Upper notes in my violin are clearer and cleaner, and especially the dull G string is going much better. The only negative is that I noticed the frog seems to have a tiny wiggle in it where it attaches to the stick, which I noticed when tightening the hair for the first time.”
