Pirastro Korfker Violin Shoulder Rest (Model 2) Reviews

4.7 Rating 3 Reviews
I bought this when it was still $200, and even at that price I felt ripped off. Now it's over $500? Ok sure, it's a piece of bent maple with some padding and annoying legs. Yes, it will make your instrument sound about 10% louder than a Kun, but I feel the law of diminishing returns is kicking in here, big time. An excellent piece of gear with a ridiculous price tag.

I'm thrilled about this shoulder rest ! Its incredibly light and very confortable. The instructions for the setup is fantastic and easy to understand. It is pricey but worth every dollar spent !

I have a slightly narrow violin so have always struggled with shoulder rests slipping off. The instructions can be a little confusing and overwhelming at first but with patience (and watching some of the instruction videos on the Pirastro website) I have found the ideal set up for me. It is very light so hardly affects sound quality and gives me plenty of freedom of movement. Very easy purchase from Simply for Strings too, great communication from them :)
