“A perfect bow hold seems so easy, but moving fingers, time between lessons, and practice time alone, can see bad habbits develop fast. As a parent of 4 beginner violinist too much time can be wasted correcting bow holds only to go back to the first one to correct all over again. Incorrect bow holding is also just as frustrating for your budding violinist who just wants to play music. Finally, a frustrating fight you no longer need to fight. I couldn't be happier. I simply ask, "how is your frog and fish?" :)
On with the music, scales and out with bad bow holds.”
“Find the thumb placement great, very easy to use and great for keeping a bent thumb. Find the pinky placement a little harder to use but perhaps that's my hand, am trying to use it every second/third time to strengthen but do find if makes bowing harder”
