I love both the dark and light Melos Rosin for its amazing smell, the more you play the more you get to appreciate its rich, clear sound, the smooth cake that is on cloth (so your bow doesn't catch on the edges). Just delightful, I've been using Melos Rosin for many years (must be more that 10 years), it is great value, makes great presents and doesn't dust your strings or violin much.

“Melos light violin rosin grips very well onto the strings, however it doesn't stay on for very long and requires you to apply rosin on the bow quite a bit. Despite that, it gives a clear and dynamic sound, would recommend!”
