“I was hoping for some good illumination to use it for a varmint sniper rifle for short distances. The diode beam was invisible to my naked eye. I tried the unit with a brand new battery, using a Gen3 Pinnacle PVS-14 in a black room across a distance of 5 feet, and could barely make out a small, hardly brighter spot than my regular night vision. My conclusion: It's extremely weak, the field of illumination is very small, and does not illuminate significantly to be considered as usable, helmet, handheld, or otherwise. Not worth using. Junk.”

Hello Robert, sorry we didn't get a chance to support you on this, but we are providing a full refund as you requested. I would recommend you check the wavelength sensitivity of your NVG system, I believe they are likely only sensitive to ~900 nm. The 1050nm Illuminator is engineered specifically to illuminate using wavelengths far above the detection capability of traditional NVGs - which is why OPSIN wearers love using these compact illuminators when working or playing alongside analog NVG users.
