This auger comes with a 2-inch hex output shaft, but if your machine requires a different size or style, adapters are available for round or larger hex options here. This option allows the auger to switch between standard and inverted drilling in minutes, with a 180-degree rotation for added flexibility in tight spaces or angled applications. It also includes a locking collar to keep the auger steady when not in use, preventing swinging during transport and positioning. “Haven't got to use it much yet but hydraulic hoses aren't secured to frame so I have to really watch when I swivel from vertical to horizontal. I will probably have to make a mount to secure the hoses. Other than that I thought the quality of unit is great.”

“The cone has too steep of an angle. Works good on hard wood up to 20' diameter, but any bigger and it will stall out even the 4500 drive. The flip hitch is too light. It does not hold the auger in place. I will use it for drilling holes, but wish I could send back the splitter cone. Not impressed. Not worth the money.”

“Most utilized tool in our arsenal. Has a lot of Tork and is positioned properly for the work view needed. I had to make slight modifications to the fitting access area because there isn't enough space to tighten the lines when they become loose. I also added a hose guard in the same area because I operate in steep terrain and catch hoses. Best feature is the cement attachment. Had this unit 2.5 years and drill 9" to 36" holes daily still going strong and doesn't leak”

“I wish there was something included to protect the nice paint job from getting messed up when the auger housing (earth drill) hits and occasionally rubs on the cradle hitch.”

“I have used the auger with both 6 inch and 12 inch bits. I have also used the extension to allow boring holes over an existing farm fence. I couldn't be happier with both the auger and extension. I replaced a 3 point hitch auger with the skid steer hydraulic auger. The 3 pt requires a great deal of help getting it centered and vertical for a good bore. The skid steer is a lot easier. Drive up, bore the hole, put in the post. Fast and easy.”
