Eterra Earth Auger Bits Description The Eterra Earth Auger Bits are built for heavy-duty drilling, delivering precision and durability for skid steers, mini skid steers, and other auger drive systems. Designed with a 2" hex connection, these bits provide a secure fit and maximum torque transfer, handling tough digging conditions without slipping. Available in widths from 4" to 36" and a standard 48" length, they are rated up to 4,500 ft-lbs of torque, making them ideal for fence post installation, tree planting, foundation work, and utility digging. Each auger bit comes with a standard carbon steel pilot point, designed for general-purpose digging. Operators can upgrade to a tungsten carbide fishtail pilot, which provides better durability and cutting efficiency in compacted soils and rocky conditions. The number of cutting teeth increases with bit size, starting at 0 teeth for the 4" bit and going up to 10 teeth on the 36" model. Additional standard or tungsten carbide replacement teeth are available for purchase, ensuring long-term performance even in abrasive ground conditions. Whether working in soft dirt, clay, or rocky terrain, Eterra auger bits provide reliable, high-performance drilling for any job site. Do not use Earth Auger Bits on solid surfaces like concrete or asphalt driveways. For solid surface conditions choose a specialized rock auger bit, offered here: Eterra Rock Auger Bit Features

I have an eterra 3500 drill on an excavator. Purchased a 9" bit when I purchased the drill from skidsteersolutions.com. Had the bit snap off today right at the attachment point. Pictures attached. On inspection there was an existing fracture just below the pin hole - the break today was clean metal, this was rusted metal. Unsure of when the crack started, but pretty unhappy that I have to stop work and go buy another auger now. I was drilling soil that had golfball to baseball sized river cobble mixed in. I should not be able to break a bit. The bit should be strong enough to stop the drill from turning before it fails.

This 9in. auger has heavy duty flights that don't bend when removing the auger from rocky earth. The teeth and teeth pockets are still attached doing great!

Should pay me to be a spokesman for this product. I have drilled over a hundred holes in the rocky quachita mountains of Arkansas and it has worked great. Saved me hundreds of hours of hand digging. If you want me to make a commercial I will trade it out in more products lol.

I got a 4" auger for my John Deere P30 post digger. It is such a time saver. I can dig a 4" hole, stick a 4" post in it, and not have to spend 10 minutes tamping the post. Big time saver, as well as an energy saver for a 65 year old rancher. It is heavily built, and will last a long time, no doubt. As far as digging, there is no leeway and the holes need to be vertical, but I had no trouble getting these holes straight up and down. Visually it was very easy. I was so impressed that I decided to also get a 6" auger, and will do the same task with 6" corner posts. Additionally, I'd like to add that I ordered the 4" over the phone. The salesman was great, actually put me onto the Eterra rather than the Blue Diamond because it was slightly cheaper and was also in stock. The salesman probably saved two weeks of wait time, not to mention some money. The shipping was quick as well. My experience with this company has been excellent.
