Eterra Auger Stump Planer Description  The Eterra Auger Stump Planer is a cost-effective and high-quality accessory, designed to fit with Eterra 3500 and 4500 model auger drives. If you frequently encounter pesky stumps impeding your work, but not enough to warrant a dedicated stump-grinding machine, this attachment could be your solution. Instead of outsourcing stump removal, utilize your Eterra Auger to incorporate the Stump Planer onto your 2-inch hex drive.  This Stump Planer is compatible with any auger possessing a 2" Hex output shaft, given appropriate torque levels.  If you don't have a 2" Hex output shaft, consider our Eterra Auger Adapters. This planer is complete with three replaceable steel tool cutters that are able to be sharpened, and a starter tip with an 18" digging depth. Equipped with guides on the cutter's trailing edge, the planer does not recoil from the hole. The starter tip aids in pushing the planer through the stump, avoiding overload or jamming. Stump Planer Torque Requirements: Torque output depends on your auger drive's rating and your loader's hydraulic flow. For torque output information, refer to your auger drive's specifications or consult with the manufacturer. 10" Stump Planer Torque Range: 2,200-6,000 Ft. Lbs.14" Stump Planer Torque Range: 3,300-6,000 Ft. Lbs. **Please note: this accessory is not recommended for hard wood or green wood (fresh) stumps. Given appropriate torque levels, it's possible that this will work for you, but productivity may be limited. Give us a call to confirm how you will be using this stump planer and we will happily steer you in the right direction.** Features
Available in 10" and 14" sizes Attaches to 2" hex drive  Capable of boring up to 18 inches Compatible with auger extensions for deeper drilling Combine the 10" Planer with the Eterra 3500 Auger Attachment Combine the 14" Planer with the Eterra 4500 Auger Attachment

My Bobcat 773 with Model 15C auger is a little underpowered for the 10 inch planer. It takets 30-60 minutes per stump and that is not a complete removal but below the surface. All-in-all, I am pleased because I have a lot of stumps. Just need to be patient.

This thing works great! The only thing I would do differently is order the larger one. But the auger I had wouldn't have worked for the larger one.

I had two large maple stumps where I wanted to plant new trees. I was able to open up a 36” hole in each stump and plant new trees! Would have been impossible without this planner!

Works well. Seems to be built really well. Did about a dozen stumps so far. Had trouble with a fresh cut large oak stump. Seems to have trouble with the moisture in the stump. The pilot tip bit built up pressure in front of it. Had to back out the bit and watched 'steam' come out as it was pulled out. Had to work the stump from the outside into the middle. Was a challenge but being I was new operating it might have been part of the battle. It did conquer the stump when the day was done. Not a problem with older stumps. Red oak are the bulk of the stumps being done. Highly recommended! Make sure you have a auger to handle this bit! Snapped the shaft off a Cat A13!! Purchased the Eterra 4500. The refresh oak stump were a challenge for both at times. Thanks Ken
