Description
The Eterra E40 Mini Backhoe 48" for mini skid steers is ideal for digging small ditches, trenches, and much more. This Backhoe Attachment has been designed tough, allowing operators the ability to fully apply the power and leverage of their machine. Use this Mini Backhoe to dig, trench and clear in tight spaces where larger machines lack access. The design of the Mini Skid Steer Backhoe also allows for seamless transitions between functions. Rapidly switch from a backhoe to a grapple rake, extension boom, ripper, or an array of bucket sizes.
Manufactured specifically for Mini Skid Steer Loaders, this Backhoe has all of the features you need without the extras that add weight and excess costs. This is a fixed boom backhoe that does not rotate side to side. You use your skid steer action to dump to the side. The Mini Skid Steer Backhoe has a 54" Inch digging reach. Built to endure, this attachment is constructed from robust A572 Grade 50 steel and features a reinforced 4" x 4" square boom. To ensure long-lasting performance, the cylinder incorporates a relief port that safeguards against overstressing and bending the cylinder rod.

“Have had this for a few months and now don't know how I ever did without it. Have used for everything including digging trenches, digging out stumps, carrying logs, stumps and debris, to digging out shrubs. I also got the thumb which greatly increases the usefulness of the hoe. The only problem I have had so far is having to be careful not to back over one of the rubberneckers that flock around to watch it in action. Will get the ripper soon for digging out stumps.”

“This backhoe for Mini-skids was one of the best investments for my business i have made. I have increased the abilities of my business ten fold, being able to dig, to trench, and carry logs as you can see from the pics on the website (this is my machine with the backhoe). I did a lot of research on these backhoes and none are made as well as this one from Skid Steer Solutions. The Thumb that pops on and off easily with a plow pin is exceptionally built and super strong. I have picked up just under a ton with backhoe and thumb and had great success. Hydraulic piston is larger and more powerful than all of the ones on my Ditch Witch and have actually crushed logs it is so powerful. My partner has been in tree care for 10+ years and was blown away with what this backhoe could lift and hold. I use it more as a grapple than as a backhoe, but am starting to use for backhoe more and more.”

“The Eterra E40 with options give me the best versatility and value I could find for my Ditch Witch SK750. Being able to change from the bucket to the mini-boom to the grapple rake provides so much versatility and add so much value to my SK750. The fixed thumb and the mini-boom are the two things that put Eterra ahead of the others for me. With the thumb and bucket, I can pull large juniper shrubs out of the ground. With the mini-boom attached, I can reach over 10 feet and raise it above my pickup bed. The grapple rake seems a little heavy on my Ditch Witch SK750 but I think it will be useful for loading limbs onto a trailer. As other reviews have said, the fit and finish are good but I did file one side of the left hole 1/16" on the mounting plate so the pin would easily pop in and I filed one side of the left hole 1/32" on the wedge block so I could finger tighten both bolts when installing options before tightening with a wrench. Skid Steer Solutions customer service was helpful during ordering and setup. I like their website because you don't have to call for quotes, you can order on-line and they have informative videos.”
