Eterra EX-30 Excavator Flail Mower
Description
Introducing the new and improved V2 model of the EX-30 Excavator Flail Mower – a top-of-the-line Flail Mower that is built for clearing grass and tough brush up to 6” along roadsides, ditches, and other hard-to-reach areas. The EX-30 Flail Mower is equipped with 20, 2lb Y Knife flail blades that are powered by a Permco Hydraulic Gear Motor. The blade life expectancy is up to 500 hours with normal use (No rock impacts). Additional blades and parts are always available as backups with your initial order or to purchase later as needed.
Now let's talk about the improvements to this unique and high-quality attachment: Eterra has consistently evolved and prioritized customer feedback, striving not only to maintain but to elevate its renowned quality. The drive shaft material has been updated for improved durability and reduced wear from impact. The housing design has been modified to improve rigidity and strength, this reduces flex in the housing which directly improves cutting performance. These enhancements ensure that this mower sets a new standard in the market for reliability and longevity.
The V2 model also boasts our new standard rail mounting system that is compatible with all new Eterra excavator products. For existing products and mounts, adaptors will be available for purchase. The new mount system features a stronger design and easier installation.
This mower is designed for excavators that weigh 7,000-14,000 lbs. with a flow range of 8-26 GPM. If this model doesn't fit the requirements of your machine, visit the EX-30M model that is rated for 2,200-7,000 lb. machines or the EX-40 model that is rated for 9,000-20,000 lb. machines.
Optional add-ons like the thumb saddle and chain guard are available to purchase for increased versatility and protection.
Note: Every excavator is different. Older models often utilize two pumps: one for stick and rotation control, and another for track drive and auxiliary flow (your mower). For machines that have this type of pump arrangement, it is not possible to drive the machine forward and cut at the same time. However, newer machines like Kubota and select Yanmar models boast three pumps, enabling simultaneous cutting and movement. “It worked great after I got the extra check valve out. The tech guy and salesman were helpful and apologetic for the assembly mistake . All is well and working great. I have about a 100 hrs on it and other than having a vibration when it is spooled up and free wheeling itâ€™s been flawless. I will switch out the knives this weekend and see if it smooths out.”

“Mount sheared off 2 of 4 bolts holding unit. Powder coat on mount flaking. Mower works good mount could use improvement”

“I have about 15 hrs use and I have been impressed. I am running on a Bobcat 334 and works great. The ex 30 will cut just about anything. Very heavy duty. Great company to do business with. Highly recommended. Thanks guys.”

“Don't mind admitting that I thought it was going to be too small.Wrong!!! Not often but in this case Yes! The EX-30 matches perfectly with my Komat'su PC55MR in every category, weight, flow and mostly ability to cut. Oh I mean Flail! Almost wrong again. Really am glad I dealt with YA'LL!!!”

“Iâ€™ve had my EX-30 for a couple months. Great attachment! Very well made and very functional. Iâ€™m running it on a Bobcat E42 with extendable arm option. Iâ€™m very happy with the attachment and itâ€™s performance. On my machine, to run the optional hydraulics, I have to pin the extendable arm in the retracted position and use that hydraulic circuit for the mower. I only mention that for information purposes, because my only criticism is that the unit is a little heavy to effectively work much off the side of the tracks. Iâ€™m aware thatâ€™s a machine limitation, not an attachment problem but maybe if your need requires a lot of over the side work, the mini version might be better suited. I work off the side of mine, itâ€™s just that your reach is somewhat limited before reaching the tippy stage. When Iâ€™m able, I simply work over the blade, and probably get plus or 45 or 50 degree rotation each way from center. Overall, itâ€™s a great, well made attachment and Iâ€™m very happy with my decision.”
