Eterra Skid Steer Box Grader Attachment
Description
The Eterra Box Grader isn't just for grading driveways and roads; it's your a go-to on pastures and landscapes too. Whether you're a homeowner, farmer, landscaper, or a contractor, this attachment is a game-changer.
The Box Grader comes in two different widths: 72" & 84". The four High-Carbon Alloy Steel Blades are configured with two facing forward while two face the rear, doubling your efficiency. This way you always have two blades cutting while two are spreading, allowing you to tackle tasks moving forward or in reverse. When the blades start showing some wear and tear, easily lower them for extended blade life.
Constructed from A572 Grade 50 steel, this Box Grader won't bend or flex in the slightest. The skid steer mounting plate? Reinforced for those heavy-duty jobs. And as finishing touch, no need worry about overstressing or bending the cylinder rod – the cylinder relief port has your back. No more uneven surfaces; just smooth, professional-grade work every time. This is the perfect attachment to get your grading job done.
Testimonial from the President of Eterra
"In 1994 an old timer showed me a similar design of a drag box that he used to pull behind his tractor back in the 50's to grade large fields. I built one and started using it immediately and still do to this very day. We brought this to market in 1998 in a limited basis and full production in 2002. As you can see, we have decades of experience with this attachment, and we know how it works and why it works. When you buy this product from us, you are dealing with the inventor, designer and manufacturer. It does not get much better than that."

I am frustrated by the lack of support when my box grader came not fitting my skid steer. I contacted support 2 times and was never able to talk to someone about the issue. When I did get an email back I was told I could modify the the mount or return it but that modify voided the warranty. When I returned an email asking questions there was no response. After 2 weeks of no support I spent 4 hours modifying the mount with a plasma and a welder. That being said the grader did work well. Just don't assume that when you give them the make of your skidsteer that it will fit and don't expect any customer support.

Delivery was painless and quality looks very good. Everything as advertised. As I am located the Sierra Foothills of California I cannot put this to serious use until the “grading season” -- after the first few rains. Right now it would be like trying to grade concrete. I’ll let you know as I gain experience.

I’m fairly new at operating my S300 Bobcat so I did not expect my first attempt at grading a 1.7 mile 21’ wide gravel road to be very productive. I watched a couple of YouTube videos and gave it a try. It did not take long to figure out the tilt and depth to get good results. I quit after making only one pass (3 times down the full length of the road to cover the 21’ wide) and it took me about 3 hours. I figured out right away that going with the breeze was a recipe for a lot of dust settling on me. So the final pass had me rolling to the far end with the grader up and then grading into the breeze coming back. The road was moderately washboard before and it was smooth after. I considered that a huge success. I’ve graded the road one more time since then and as expected, the finish was a little better overall. We are out in the desert so watering the road was not an option the first two sessions but hoping in the future the new to us water truck will make things much less dusty. I’m not experienced in road grading at all so from my limited point of view, I’d highly recommend this attachment for smoothing out dirt /gravel roads and driveways.

This 84” box has been used on both a cat 289D and 299D3xe for the past 3 years and has done awesome and saved me so much time on jobs. I’m sad to say that today I broke it when I hit the lip of a boulder while grading a road in high speed full bore. Definitely not the first tie I’ve hit it hard. I use this box for lots of applications such as grading, dozing and snow plowing. Will get it fixed and expect to use it for years to come.
