“The concept and style of this is really great but ultimately not worth $200. Setup is easy but you need a large space to set it up because of the length of the poles. We used it in our camper and it was difficult to maneuver. Also, the air flow inside is terrible. You definitely need the fan on the highest setting and all the pockets / zippers open at all times.”
Thank you so much, Lauren, for your review of the SlumberPod with Fan Included Black with Gray Accents. We do have some helpful tips for setting up in tight spaces on our blog https://www.slumberpod.com/blogs/our-blog/5-tricks-for-tight-spaces?_pos=1&_sid=310a84aec&_ss=r.
Some customers opt to purchase and use the fan if their child runs warm when they sleep or they are visiting a warmer and/or more humid area. Friendly reminder that SlumberPod is approved for indoor use only in climate-controlled environments.
“We would not survive family vacations without this product! This is the only reason we are able to share a room with our infant, and it’s easy! The SlumberPod is so dark and filters out all noise while your little one sleeps. Amazing customer service as well!”
“It’s expensive, but I think it’s so worth it to know that your baby/child will be able to sleep well. It allowed my 4 month old to take 2+ hour naps and sleep as well as ever on his first trip away from home!”
“We used the slumberpod for the first time with our 6 month old, worked like a charm. He slept just as well in the pack n play with the slumberpod as he does at home in his crib. I would highly recommend this to anyone who will be traveling with their baby!”
“Works so well! My baby slept great it in while traveling, it was as if we were back at home. The fan is a nice feature and my son seemed to appreciate it. I love that we can use our sound machine and camera from home with it. Air seemed to circulate well in there and it was pitch black. 100% recommend.”
“I’m really loving the SlumberPod! I introduced it very SLOWLY. I’m a planner/preparer.
I bought it a month in advance for a trip to texas and to “train” my 9 month old to sleep in it as I will be working at my moms in the future. Her room is so bright and my parents are the kind that believe they should “sleep in the light.” Yeah NO. So anywho, I introduced it very slowly.
First I just put kiddo in the pack n play in his room for play. I also started sleeping with his sheet for a week or two. I then found a mattress similar to his crib. Then I set up the slumber pod around it. Started putting him in there for play and leaving it open. Then I’d give him a bottle in there. Eventually I’d start his sleep routine in there, instead of the crib… putting on sleep sack, binky, etc… but ending up in his crib for sleep. I then started “playing peek a boo while closing it.”
Finally, I started ending his nap routine in the slumber pod and he fell asleep without a hitch! He’s now sleeping in there exclusively for his first nap. Up next, second nap and then bedtime before our trip.
I’m a believer and LOVE the convenience that I can take it anywhere and know my kiddo will sleep (praise the Lord!) lol no more figuring out blackout curtains and all that.
The quality is also top notch! I keep my cats out of the room as I don’t want holes ending up in the slumberpod! Maybe they will make patches in the future?
LOVE the navy one with the stars ⭐️
Hot tip: works with the Nanit travel stand version, just out is SIDEWAYS and press the top of the plastic down on the camera working your way down trying to have it “stick” to it; won’t be super super clear but it can still read my kiddos breathing.”
