“My 6mo daughter is a great sleeper at home, however our issue when away from home was always the lack of blackout darkness. The Slumberpod provides an amazing blackout setting for her to sleep in and is perfect for sleep away from home. That being said, setup can be challenging. Once the Slumberpod is put together, it does not take up any more space than a playpen, but quite a bit of space is required to put it together (the rods are very long and stick out as you put them through the loops). I just wish there was an easier way to assemble it. But in regards to it’s functionality once built, I do enjoy this product. Also, for anyone wanting to use a baby monitor, I did not find the plastic pocket useful at all (it creates a glare on my monitor making it impossible to see my baby). An easy fix was to hook my monitor directly onto the side of my playpen and just zip the Slumberpod shut leaving a little hole for the wire to come out. Overall, if you are room sharing or if your child must sleep in a room that you cannot blackout the windows in, the Slumberpod is a great alternative!”
