“The fan works great and the app is functional if not full featured. I took off a star because while the fan looks good from a distance and is functional it is pretty cheaply built when you look closely. Installation was pretty easy but did require a trip to the hardware store for some screws, it didn’t come with the #8-32 machine screws you will likely need to install it if you live in the US. The instructions also don’t mention how to secure the safety cable to the box side. The balancing kit they give you is worthless. The adjustable weight snapped in half when I tried to put it on the first blade. I’m just running the fan without balancing it and it works fine, but you can see a slight wobble. The app works and you can add the fan to Google Home, but you can only schedule on/off times not fan speed or color temperature. The light pattern is very spotlighty so make sure that is what you want. The fan is certainly worth the price, but it isn’t perfect.”

“Installation/mounting was fairly straightforward. DC motor is so smooth and quiet. This is my second smafan purchase and plan on adding another verysoon!”

“Delivery was decently timed. The down rods use screws to attach the fan which needed to be lined up exact which became a difficult operation. The wire covers leave little room for wires, others not enough. The controller box is large so it's hard to fit at the top”
