I found the SmaFan.com web site to be very user friendly. There are many choices to choose from and at a good price (lower than Home Depot price) for the fan that I purchased. The delivery of the fan was 3 to 4 days. That is a lot quicker than purchasing the same fan through Home Depot and picking it up from the store. I will definitely buy from this store again.

Unable to use the two fans so needed to return. They charged me $20 per label which cost me $40 to return. Never again will I buy from this company!

Quality is very nice, fairly easy to install; had one glitch with getting the base to mount fully flush with the ceiling but the gap is very small so it looks fine. The remote has to be held right under or very close to the fan to turn it on, which is fine if its over a bed and you can do it while laying down. I wish the remote connectivity was a little better.

I thought the website was easy to use. The prices are fantastic and the fan arrived at my house within a week. Unfortunately, the light cover was cracked; I contacted SmaFan support via email and they got back to me immediately. They arranged for a replacement light cover to be shipped to me which arrived quickly. All in all, I highly recommend SmaFan!

The fan is great. Easy to install, attractive and has a very bright light. Just need to remember to place batteries in the remote when you're ready to turn it on. The remote doesn't come with batteries.

Straight forward website. Had better luck with online tech support than on the phone. Person I got on the phone was rude and gave me contrary information compared to what I recieved via the online tech support.

We were looking for couple of Smartfans that works with Alexa for our kids rooms and approached "Hugo Ho" from smafan and he immediately responded with great suggestions. We installed them today and they not only look BEAUTIFUL but also works great with Carro app and Alexa. Wonderful options to control the speed, lighting and seasons. This is exactly what we were looking for and cant thank enough.

Can't be used with a downrod. Not a smart fan. Can't add it to the application. Worst purchase in years.

However, this Essex smart ceiling fan is indeed a ceiling fan with smart features, and it can be installed with the downrod. You should be able to add this ceiling fan to the smartphone APP.
