“I thought the website was easy to use. The prices are fantastic and the fan arrived at my house within a week. Unfortunately, the light cover was cracked; I contacted SmaFan support via email and they got back to me immediately. They arranged for a replacement light cover to be shipped to me which arrived quickly. All in all, I highly recommend SmaFan!”

“The fan is great. Easy to install, attractive and has a very bright light. Just need to remember to place batteries in the remote when you're ready to turn it on. The remote doesn't come with batteries.”

“We were looking for couple of Smartfans that works with Alexa for our kids rooms and approached "Hugo Ho" from smafan and he immediately responded with great suggestions. We installed them today and they not only look BEAUTIFUL but also works great with Carro app and Alexa. Wonderful options to control the speed, lighting and seasons. This is exactly what we were looking for and cant thank enough.”

However, this Essex smart ceiling fan is indeed a ceiling fan with smart features, and it can be installed with the downrod. You should be able to add this ceiling fan to the smartphone APP. “SmaFan had better prices and more selection than other sites I looked at, the fan shipped and was delivered quickly, and they have been very communicative. I had no issues with the fan but I feel confident that their customer support would be very responsive. I am replacing all of the ceiling fans in my house so I will definitely order from SmaFan again!”
