“Overall the trip was very good and I will really remember all of the good experiences, but there is definitely an opportunity to make the trip excellent. There were several people who had prebooked some of the extras and then when the price came down we did not get the benefit of the price decrease. This definitely created some bad feelings towards Smartours.”

“Here's my experience with the Smart Tour agency: 1) I had one reservation for 2021 (i.e., Germany Christmas Market), This trip was cancelled due to the rise of COVID by the trade agency. And this Tavel agency provided options to either receive credit for future travels or getting refund. I requested refund and I did receive two different emails from their payroll management (Mr Chis Hind & Tyrell Jaynell) that I will be receiving my refund by 1/19/2022, not only I did not receive my refund they are not responding to my emails anymore. I would suggest to anyone be really careful if you are planning to book a travel with this agency because they are not reliable plus they have lots a bad reviews with YELP. 2) I had another reservation for 2022 (i.e., Jewels of Adriatic), This trip also was suspended/cancelled by the travel agency. I paid $600 as non-refundable deposit and I was hoping to receive a credit for the $600 but they are not responding. By the way, I am discussing my matters with my lawyer for further actions.”

Dear Mr. Mashouf, thank you for your feedback, and we are so sorry this turned out to be such a frustrating experience, and needed to be escalated so many times. We were able to resolve the refund issue in January and the additional credits have been restored to your account for future travel. There have definitely been many bumps in the road to recovery from the pandemic, and we know we need to do better. Thank you for patience, and we do hope to see you on a future trip!

“Great trip, beautiful countries. I have to criticize the optional tour in Dubrovnik: boat trip and dinner was overpriced for the experience as a whole, the boat ride was nice, beautiful sunset but the dinner was mediocre, and the host seem not very happy to serve us.”

“I just returned from the Jewels of the Adriatic tour, Sept. 24- Oct. 8th. It was remarkable! There was 28 people in our group and Rok was our tour guide. I enjoyed everywhere we went and every activity we did. Walking underground in the caves, hiking through Plitvice National Forest, visiting several cathedrals and fortresses, eating delicious food, and much more. The price is right for all you get. The hotels were wonderful! This was my 10th tour with SmarTours.”

“I just returned from the Jewels of the Adriatic tour. Rok was our guide. There was 28 people in our group. This was my 10th tour with SmarTours. If you haven't gone to Croatia, this is a must-see. Walking through caves, hiking through Plitvice National Forest, going in several churches and fortresses, eating delicious food, seeing the Autumn leaf colors reflecting on Lake Bled, and much more.”

“I took the June 19 - July 2nd tour this year. We had a wonderful tour director (Elvis). He has a great sense of humor, patience and his encyclopedic knowledge of the history of the area is admirable. He is quite an asset to SmarTours. The local guides were very good, the hotels good. A wonderful tour all around with great travel companions. The American Airlines flight from Prague to Philadelphia was the worst flight I was ever on in my long history of air travel. Nothing worked and the food was terrible.”

“Jewels of the Adriatic was just that. The area is beyond belief beautiful and diverse. Our guide Valentina was such an asset to the tour. In addition to keep everything organized and moving, she brought her culture alive. The hotels were lovely and comfortable. The timing of the progress of the tour was perfect. This is my third trip with Smartours....planning another..”
