“This was an excellent tour that lets you get a good overview of the entire country. Our tour guide Uri Mor was outstandinding. We had to deal with heightened security concerns around Jerusalem and even experienced desert flooding when reaching Eilat, but smarTours made our safety a priority throughout. The only negative was that the tour to Petra in Jordan was done through a different local company and the tour bus arrived an hour late, so our trip to Petra felt very rushed, we did not go past the Theater and see the Royal Tombs and the city, which is a real shame.”

“This was a packed marvelous tour, on the go constantly.We saw everything, an excellent value. Our tour guide Raya was so very knowledgeable and terrific. My only critique was that she needed to slow down a bit, she moved quite quickly, and I'd have to ask her to wait up a bit. The hotels were very good, and the breakfasts were particularly scrumptious. Our driver Ahron was a delight, so pleasant. This trip was so enjoyable, my head and heart are still in Israel.I'd recommend this trip and SmarTours to everyone”

“This is an excellent tour for a first visit to Israel. It is well planned, hitting the highlights one might expect. Hotels are excellent, food is very good. The highlight for us, however, was our tour guide Ophir Keshet. His knowledge of the history (ancient to modern), religions, people, and culture of Israel was incredible. He is not only an excellent guide and tour director, he is personally charming, making time spent with him extremely pleasant as well as educational. He is, hands down, the best guide we have ever encountered. We also participated in the optional tours offered on this trip. All were excellent, although Petra was a highlight. The Jordanian guide we had was very good. The guide in Bethlehem was also good, although the excursion itself is basically a trip to the Church of the Nativity with lunch and guided shopping. Ophir leads the tour to the Golan Heights and it was excellent. Israel is a remarkable country and despite the headlines quite safe. Smartours is the perfect tour for a first visit.”
