“These glasses replaced my previous pair of Smith glasses which were a plastic type lens with both polarized and photochromic options. These didn’t darken as much as I liked while driving or not and is why I chose these. Back in the 70’s I had a pair for glass photochromic sunglasses which went from clear to real dark but don’t know what happened to them. I also think the non glass lens’s would scratch much easier and is another reason I wanted glass. Don’t listen to others who think a glass lens is going to be heavier, b/c it’s not. These shoutout polarized with blue mirror glasses are light in weight compared to my Ray-Ban Wayfarers from the 80’s which are heavy with glass lens’s. So the style is great but the size is somewhat good but could be a touch smaller. I also chose the mirror for that sun to bounce back. These are great glasses and you’ll be happy if you purchase them.”
