This is my second pair of glasses after a warranty repair for broken temple. The same issue happened again -- the magnetic part of the temple rusted out, this time preventing it from unclipping from the lens. While it looks like they will replace this again under warranty, the glasses were only five months old when the failure happened. I love the fit, the clarity of the lenses and the ability to swap lenses (I've purchased multiple lenses separately), but the fact the glasses keep failing is a big problem.

I like the look of the glasses and they do well in bright sunlight, but they slide down my face when running. They slide less when held down by a headband or bandana, but I wish they stayed in place better and I didn’t have to adjust them often. I don’t have issues when hiking or walking.

I invested in the Shift Split MAG frames and some replacement lenses. I love the versatility in different lighting conditions and the facial coverage is good. The integration with my Smith helmet is also good. However, I'm on my second set (replaced without issue via warranty) after a hinge break and have serious concerns about the lifespan of the product. At this price point, I don't think I'd purchase these again strictly on durability grounds. But the visual effectiveness is great.

They fit perfectly, they are very light, and I have been impressed with the lenses that change tints in different lights.

I love running with these sunglasses. They have virtually no bounce and don’t fatigue my ears or eyes after wearing them for hours on trail. The adjustable nose pads are perfect for fitting to your nose. The chromapop helps me see everything on the trail, even when it’s overcast. The wide lens helps cover the sides of my face from the sun all day.

I was a loyal user of Smith Optics, but my recent experience left me disappointed. The temple of my sunglasses broke unexpectedly, and Smith Optics refused to cover it under warranty. The response I got felt robotic and like a copy-paste template, offering no real support or solution. They also wouldn’t let me purchase replacement parts. It’s disappointing that such a large company doesn’t stand by their product’s durability or provide decent customer service. I’ll definitely be looking at other brands in the future, as you’re not getting the support you deserve for what you pay.

Cycling, running and skiing. These glasses do it all. Photochromic lense allows for good terrain visualization with changing light conditions.
