“Hmmmm what to say….this helmet isn’t as good as the Vantage straight out of the gate. It seems cheaply made. Very hard to open and close the vents. The visor moves very easily. I haven’t used the helmet on the slopes yet but I foresee an issue with the visor not making a seal around my eyes. I hope that’s not the case but it seems like it might be….. I had really high hopes for this helmet. I’m a bit disappointed because I absolutely love all of Smith’s other stuff. This helmet gets a three star review based on how the helmet is made and the potential issue with the visor not sealing.”
“I recently purchased the new helmet visor combo. I rode it in variable conditions including a big powder day. I have sinus issues and was looking for a solution to have less pressure from goggles on my face. The that manor the product worked great. The only challenges i had were on a big powder day. Due to the goggles not connecting securely to the face it had a tendency to get more snow that i would like. It did clear out easily. In less powdery conditions they worked great. I like the product but will probalbly return to my normal set up on big snow days.”
“I like this helmet, but it does not prevent fog in moist conditions, such as heavy snow or rain. It’s very hard to find any helmet/google solution that prevents this. Waiting for Smith to focus on a product that solves this issue for folks who wear glasses.”
