“The Smith Level helmet is an upgraded free replacement to my Smith Optics helmet purchased in January 2021. While skiing the last run of the day, I took a big spill that flipped my head backward. The helmet saved me from a major head injury by breaking the inner cushion material on impact. Smith's 2-year replacement warranty was a welcome surprise!”

“Love Smith. I love Smith because not only is my gear high quality, when it breaks it is covered by a warranty that they replace for no charge. I will be buying Smith ski gear till the day I die!”
“I wear a helmet daily for seven to eight hours, so a well-fitting, lightweight and comfortable one is very important. My first choice was out of stock so I chose the Level. It meets the light and comfortable criteria, is well vented, and as expected it fits well with Smith goggles. However, the visor makes it difficult to put goggles up without having them fall all the way off the helmet, an annoyance when dealing with customers or performing non-skiing work as much as I must. The ear flaps don't block as much wind as I would like, but I can hear through them better than other helmets I have had. A downside is that it also means more wind noise while skiing--and the helmet itself has various whistles and vibrations while skiing that will take some getting used to. Overall, not a bad choice and I am not disappointed.”
