“This was my first time purchasing a SMITH helmet. The Trace fit was perfect and doesn't rotate backwards over my head as previous cycling helmets. While I could have gone with either a medium or large, I opted for the large to accommodate a cycling cap or something thicker for cooler weather riding. Having MIPS and Koroyd technologies also drew me to this helmet.”

“Overall I like the Trace helmet. It fits well, the padding is very good, the matte finish is sharp. The straps I am not a fan of. The fixed pieces I could do without. I have another SMITH helmet that has a piece allowing to adjust the straps in front and behind the ears. Just my preference.”

“It’s a really comfortable helmet that looks nice. Great venting. Most importantly, it saved my head 3 weeks back in a road bike crash. I was doing around 20mph or so and hit the deck hard after crossing a wheel. I cracked the helmet but not my head! Also, thanks for the discounted replacement of what was a 30 day old helmet.”
