“I love everything about this helmet, but I wish the Orange Color was brighter. The mix of black/grey shading and the flat orange finish do not mask it as visible to others on the road as I would like. This is the only reason it is not 5 stars for me. Everything else - fit, functionality, venting, MIPS, weight, etc.is easily a 5 in my book. Ordering and delivery via the Pro Purchase program was a breeze.”

“I like almost everything about this helmet except the depth. It’s a pretty shallow fit. It feels and fits fine, but it just feels like it sits high and the protective coverage doesn’t extend down the sides of the head far enough. I can fit a medium or large, so I moved to a large hoping it would be a bit bigger all around… it’s not. It’s generally pretty comfortable, though there is a sharp corner on the rear adjustable straps on each side that dug into the back of my bald head. I filed them down a bit and is fine now. Otherwise, the helmet is well made, stylish, and comfortable. I actually like the Koroyd straws because they provide some protection against insects (specifically bees) that get stuck inside a normal helmet and sting me.”

“As with all theSmith products I have used, the Trace helmet provides a high level of protection along with great fit and function. When needing to replace my aging old helmet I looked first at Smith and pretty much settled there. It’s so comfortable and light it’s easy to forget I have it on. As far as ventilation, it provides good cooling on warm days. I’m a bit of a sweater, so on the hottest days I need as much airflow as I can get and this gear gives me that. Kudos to Smith for a good looking product that does what it needs to do for any cyclist.”

“The fit and feel is excellent. I got the size and color I wanted. Sadly I lost it a week after using it daily. I recommend this helmet to a rider who wants a light, safe helmet for recreational bicycling.”
