“Great for picking up calls without taking out my phone on the lift at 10 below, Or calling my friends to find out where they are on the mountain, And then there's music when I'm by myself, Or talking to the wife on the walkie-talkie when she is ready for lunch, I do wish there was a low battery alert but I haven't run out of power yet on the slopes,”
“In terms of sound quality these are as good as you might expect. The one trick to installing them is that you have to remove a foam insert in the ear flaps first. There are essentially no instructions for how to install them so you kind of have to discover this on your own. It’s a portion of the foam center of the flap that is partially cut out and shaped like the headset.
Once installed and after the first day, you will discover the major design flaw. The charging plug is on the back end of the headset from the cord that connects the two ear pieces, on the right ear piece. That means if you install them the way they are supposed to be installed, you have to completely remove them from the helmet every time you want to charge them. This is a shockingly poorly thought out design. To work around it, I flip them around and install the right ear piece in the left flap because that’s where the zipper close is. Then I spin the ear piece so the charge port is facing the zipper. Now I only need to crack the zipper open to charge them.
Unlike the previous version the charge port is no longer proprietary. Sadly it uses a deprecated micro USB port rather than a modern USB C port. This is another design flaw that hopefully will be corrected soon.”
