I'm actually practicing with a metronome now :) The metronome click no longer annoys me or the people around me. -1 star - smartphone app and pulse don't work well together when screen locks on smartphone. if you've made changes on the pulse and then unlock the screen it loses it's tempo to rematch the app.

J'expérimente cette nouvelle forme de métronome pour la première fois et ai encore des difficultés à sentir la pulsation mais je ne désespère pas qu'avec l'expérience cela puisse s'améliorer.

I have answered a survey already and mentioned that when at a 190 bpm the second beat of the accent is hard to pick up due to the way the emphasis time count pulse sort of blends into the second count. I set the light to help me out but its hard to stay on time without watching it which sort of defeats the purpose of the pulse timing idea. I have yet to work out how to set a quick dial for changes to time signatures and bpm. It's not quite what I had hoped for but I am still exploring the best way for me to use it and where to wear it and to get used to the feel, as it is not as easy as I thought it would be to be responsive too especially when you are physically moving quite vigorously.

The Pulse did everything as advertised, I actually returned the pulse and purchased the Core, it fits my needs better, I just want to send a shout out to Soundbrenner, especially Rose, for helping me with my return and the incredible customer service she showed me!

I want to love this thing. I just haven’t gotten comfortable with the haptic response in keeping time. If I am doing anything but the most rudimentary drum beats I lose contact with the vibration. I will keep trying but it has been a bit of a struggle. Thanks, John C.

Takes a tiny bit to get accustomed to the feel -- not long. Love the app control features. I haven't tried it in a band setting so can't comment on those features. The reason for 4/5 stars is that the haptics are just too loud to use in a studio setting -- not that the Pulse is advertised for that purpose so take that comment with a grain of salt. Love it as a metronome and its tech and wearable features are superb. Peace!

I had trouble feeling the metronome when I played my acoustic guitar or sang past a certain volume. The vibrations just from producing a loud sound was enough to conflict with the vibrations of the metronome (especially when I have an acoustic guitar pressed against my body). Love the concept and I’m sure it would work for certain musicians - i’d be curious if it worked for me if I still had my piano, or for people who play softer/smaller instruments.

Hi Angie, We're incredibly sorry to hear about this. It appears you might have a defective unit, the Pulse should not make any noticeable noises when vibrating. If you pop an email over to support@soundbrenner.com with a video of the Pulse in vibration mode they will assess the unit for you. Once again very sorry and hope we can get this resolved for you.
