“Sturdy and well made sandals, whilst still looking stylish and neat - "walking" footwear can look a bit clumsy and unfeminine, but I wear these sandals everywhere. The padded straps mean that there's nothing to rub (I have sensitive skin on my ankles/heels, and "wearing in" shoes and sandals has always been a problem, but these are like slippers) . The moulded sole is very comfortable, but quite hard, and I think that wearing these sandals all sumer (I have 3 pairs) has probably contributed to the build up of hard skin on my big toes - but that can easily be dealt with. My last comment is that the straps around the heel and ankle are quite short (this differs from last year's model), and even though my foot is narrow there is still quite a bit of velcro showing - so it might be a problem for anyone with wide feet or large ankles. It is also more obvious on the lighter colours because the velcro is still black. Price wise, these are a bargain at £17.50, and if they wear as well as my last 2 pairs I will be more than happy.”
