“I have had a very disappointing experience with Sports Direct. Both of my last two orders were lost in transit, and I had to request replacements for them, which also arrived with delays. This was extremely frustrating and disappointing. On top of that, the discount code I was offered as compensation did not work. Even after contacting customer service several times, I received confusing and inconsistent explanations. The whole process has been very stressful and has made me lose confidence in ordering from Sports Direct again. I truly expected much better service from such a big company. This has been one of the worst online shopping experiences I have had.”

“Atrocious company that has repeatedly shown it does not care about customers. They call themselves "UK's #1 sport retailer", but they are barely a retailers, with most products being drop-shipped from third-party sellers. When something goes wrong, expect it to take forever to fix and only after you repeatedly chase them. Beware a company with no method of phone contact, where customer support can hide away behind keyboards. ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY.”

“Absolutely appalling experience with Sports Direct – a complete disaster from start to finish! I ordered shoes (Order SDNL50001001096021) on 16 May 2025 for €46.99, unaware that the shipment would come from the UK, as this was conveniently omitted from their website. When I realized I’d face long delivery times and customs fees, I immediately requested to cancel the order. What followed was an infuriating saga of incompetence and empty promises. I contacted their helpdesk multiple times – 31 May, 2 June, 21 June, 4 July, and 24 July – each time being assured that my case was "escalated" and someone would contact me within 14 days. Spoiler alert: no one ever did. On 19 August 2025, I had another frustrating exchange with a rude consultant who demanded a screenshot of my banking app, which my bank (ING Netherlands) doesn’t allow for security reasons. I sent a payment statement instead, only for the consultant to dismiss it and hang up. I even double-checked with my bank, who confirmed they never blocked any refund – Sports Direct’s claim was simply a lie. This company’s customer service is an absolute disgrace. They dodge accountability, make false promises, and treat customers with utter disrespect. I’ve been chasing my €46.99 refund for months with no resolution, despite providing all necessary proof. I’ve now escalated this to the European Consumer Centre because enough is enough. Avoid Sports Direct at all costs – they’re untrustworthy and unprofessional. One star is too generous!”

“I ordered a gym shirt, its been three weeks now and no sign of my order. I first emailed them and apparently my order got lost in the warehouse so the dispatcher never received it. the dispatcher finally gets it and I find out my order has been cancelled and being sent back to Sports Direct. Worst experience I have had and this isn't even made up.”

“I went into sports direct confused and flustered, and I was assisted by a caring member of staff, from the Kingston sports direct branch called Adelaide She was super attentive and made it very comfortable for me to shop. I’ve honestly never experienced customer service like that before, and felt it was important for me to share that here”
