Don't know what Sports Direct are playing at. Now selling fake stuff?! I just received a Pretty Green bucket hat and it's not even by Pretty Green but by a cheap brand called Beech field with a cheap printed Pretty Green logo. Ok I got it for £5 (originally £39.99) but online it clearly saying it's Liam Gallagher's Pretty Green. I've often had a gripe with Sports Direct for the fact they charge you for delivering to their own store but selling moody gear now just tops it off. I'm done with them.

I have never come across any business which has very unfriendly customer service like sports direct. You want to buy something online, no matter how much you spend they charge £4.99. Even if you chose the option collect from store they still charge you the same which is very bizarre! Then if you want to return the product YOU CANNOT TAKE IT BACK TO THE STORE! You have to pay again £4.99 to return it online and God knows if they actually do it in 14 days. Let’s say one of the product you bought was £20 worth for delivery and return cost you already £10. I will never buy anything online with them.

I ordered a gift from Sports Direct online based on the product description and photographs, having already seen the item in store. What arrived was an old, superseded version with materially different design and colour features. It was not the product that was advertised. Customer service refused a refund or exchange, relying on small-print terms stating that “style may vary.” In practice, this means you cannot rely on receiving the item shown on their website, and they take no responsibility when the product supplied is materially different from what you ordered. If you expect to receive the product that is advertised, do not order from Sports Direct online.

Very poor service you pay £9.99 for next day delivery but it comes 3 days later this is not the first time its happened get your act together instead of taking people money for a service you can't honour

Ordered a gift online based on the photos, an video and description shown. The item sent was an older stock design, materially different in colour and appearance from what was advertised. Customer service hid behind their “styles may vary” T&Cs and refused to resolve it. Stores are stocked with the updated version shown online, but they won’t exchange online purchases. Very disappointing. If you are expecting to receive what is advertised and clearly pictured on the website, think twice before ordering online from Sports Direct

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEIR WEBSITE. To be fair, the Sports Direct experience is okay for cheap sportswear IF you can get it in store, but their online service is an absolute disgrace; still to be confirmed, but in my opinion what their lack of ownership of this issue is either being complicit in outright theft or criminal negligence. They are now being completely boycotted and I cannot warn enough people about how terrible the all-round experience has been and genuinely hope that the company fails given how negligent and unhelpful they have been given the failure is in their returns process: DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEIR WEBSITE Full story: We ordered my son's fairly expensive (~£150) trainers as his main birthday present. When they arrived, they were not at all like the ones in the photo, so we requested a return. Initially we tried to return this in-store, but they insisted it had to go via their Evri returns process (costs us an extra ~£6), but fair enough, we should have gone to Amazon if we wanted a slick, free returns process. 5 days later we're told that they received a dirty polo shirt and would be sending it back to us. The items has presumably been stolen in transit, but Sports Direct won't raise the theft with Evri (the courier company), even though the contract for the delivery is between Sports Direct and Evri and a process that they insisted we use. Given the extent to which they have completely ignored the theft and are unwilling to either take responsibility for it themselves or hold Evri to account, I cannot see the situation getting better, hence: DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEIR WEBSITE

Shoddy trainers. 2 pairs developed squeaks. One of the Everlast trainersI purchased from Isle of Man store began coming apart at the heel within 3 weeks of use. The manager at the Isle of Man store saud they were sold at discount so I cannot return them, she also said I wire them everyday, and I shpukd not have walked on the beach with them. She refused return, floating UK consumer Law. This was the response from Sports Direct Head Office: Hi, Trevor Green. Thank you for reaching out. I’m really sorry for the frustration caused. Please note that in-store purchases can only be handled by the store where they were bought, as we do not have access to store sales. We can only assist with online orders. After keeping me waiting for almost one hour the sales assistant announced he could not find me the other shoe from the back room. It made my experience very uncomfortable as I really wanted to buy that pair. Made me wonder whether I was a personal target or did he send other customers away in the same manner. Also, I am not sure why but he tried to ensure that I sought help from no other staff member. He went as far as criticising my attempt of getting help from the other guy working there plus the staff at the till from whom I did try and seek help in desperation. Obviously, he was worried about his reputation and inefficiency as a sales assistant. Glad to say that the second member of staff was approachable and found me the other shoe from the back which I eventually purchased! Ps: This was The Sports Direct branch in Tandem Centre and the staff member (I could not catch his name) was a short guy from Indian background with poor Englsh.

Sadly Sports Direct have changed supplier and country for their Slazenger leather golf gloves. They were great but are now flimsy ill fitting rubbish. Tearing apart after 5 rounds. Don't buy thinking they were the same quality as before

Paid extra for 48 hour delivery. It took over 5 days and their customer service just didn’t care or offer any discount on the extra £8 delivery charge, despite it being over 5 days late. Reached out to them a few times but they simply said “you can return the items for a refund” and suggested I chase the courier. They just washed their hands of the situation. We paid more as it was a present. We missed the birthday date due to their incompetence. Really unhelpful. I’d been warned against buying from Sport Direct online but ignored the warnings. Big mistake. They also use Evri (voted the worst courier, so unlikely your packages will arrive on time, if at all, anyway). Steer clear!!
