“Terrible company!! I took a tennis skirt back (within 7 days) as I didn’t particularly like it and it didn’t fit right on me. The lady on the till (Tracey, I believe) refused to give me a refund, due to ‘company policy’. According to Tracey, Sports Direct does not give refunds for any purchases in store, only a credit note or exchange is given!!”

“I am very disappointed with Sports Direct. I followed all the steps to make a complaint, but both the store and customer service ignored my case. Employees should support the company’s image, but their indifference has damaged it instead. I’ve shared my experience with family and friends, and word of mouth spreads fast. Poor customer care hurts a brand’s reputation permanently.”

“Shocking service. I ordered the Mansfield Boot Sn99 and Sports Direct sent a different, cheaper pair shoved into the Mansfield box — downright deceptive. I emailed full details with product codes and photos; customer service replied only to ask for the exact same codes I’d already provided and then went silent. Wrong item, wasted time, zero resolution — avoid. Order number: SD40000127334642”

“Just a warning to buyers that love the Karriemore Hot Rock Walking Boots. They have redesigned the heel of this boot. It is now very soft and has no support. And it rolls over very easily. To my cost when on holiday. It’s a pity as I have had at least six pairs over the last few years.”

“I have had a very disappointing experience with Sports Direct. Both of my last two orders were lost in transit, and I had to request replacements for them, which also arrived with delays. This was extremely frustrating and disappointing. On top of that, the discount code I was offered as compensation did not work. Even after contacting customer service several times, I received confusing and inconsistent explanations. The whole process has been very stressful and has made me lose confidence in ordering from Sports Direct again. I truly expected much better service from such a big company. This has been one of the worst online shopping experiences I have had.”

“Atrocious company that has repeatedly shown it does not care about customers. They call themselves "UK's #1 sport retailer", but they are barely a retailers, with most products being drop-shipped from third-party sellers. When something goes wrong, expect it to take forever to fix and only after you repeatedly chase them. Beware a company with no method of phone contact, where customer support can hide away behind keyboards. ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY.”
