“Beautiful boots but were way too big. I live overseas so had them sent over. After paying custom tax and shipping costs it bumped the price up. Trying to return them turned into a nightmare. Postal cost was over $100 because of size of parcel. SD insist that you send the item back in the original box. That was the problem. I asked SD to help but basically got told hard luck. They will ship overseas but beware if you should ever have to return anything they absolutely will NOT help with return costs . All costs are down to you.”

“Stitching was already coming apart and one of the fasteners was hung on by a thread. Box they arrived in was taped together looked like it had been thrown around the warehouse. Standards have certainly dropped since the company been taken over as well as lack of availability of products in store and online having to source many products now elsewhere.”

“I was after a 'cheap' pair of leather riding boots and, at a sale price of £60, these fit the bill. The leather is not the best quality, but no worse than you'd expect at this price. I find the zips very stiff, and so there's a concern that it may break before it's time due to having to really pull hard on them. The leather doesn't have much give, and so these boots won't suit those ladies with wide calves. In addition, they are very high. I just about can manage to wear them without the top digging into the back of my knee, but if you have shorter legs then I think you may be unable to bend your leg! Due to the leather being very stiff, there's no guarantee that the leather will 'drop' with wear, thus making the boot more comfortable in the area behind the knee. That said, you do get what you pay for and at over £200 cheaper than one of the top quality brands, this boot probably represents value for money. That said, would I buy another pair? No, I'd save up for longer and go for quality next time!”
