I haven’t used the tool yet, but it seems to be well built and looks like it’ll do the job well.

The wrench works to remove irritrol valve bonnet. The handle does not integrate directly with the wrench. I think you are supposed to use a short piece of 3/4" PVC to attach the handle to the wrench. No instructions indicate that. I was able to turn the wrench by hand, without benefit of the handle.

Worked great, I did add a hose clamp (as suggested in other reviews) to keep it snug. I was switching out the insides of some Irritrol valves and loosening and tightening them was easy. The valve box did not have a lot of room for channel locks.

This item is described as a wrench, but it is certainly not a wrench. It has some elements of a wrench "kit" - if you add a piece of pipe, epoxy, maybe a couple of pins, plus a large clamp to stiffen up the weak plastic jaws. With that, you might have something that you could possibly use as a tool. I didn't do that.

Hi Kenneth - thanks for your review. Apologies for any confusion - this is a bonnet wrench made specifically to assist in removing the bonnet from an Irritrol sprinkler valve. It's not a traditional wrench and is pretty useless beyond its intended purpose. We're happy to take the item back if it won't work for you. Just reach out and we can help you get that going.

Works exactly as I expected it to work.

This is a piece of junk, it slips and does no better then your hand. Do yourself a favor an get a small oil filter wrench.

This wrench made the repair work much easier. I could unscrew the valve retaining ring with little effort. Trying to get a pair of channel lock pliers down into the irrigation box was difficult.
