“This transformer was ordered as part of an X-Core Controller package. It worked briefly in service than failed. The output dropped to about 7 volts. I suspect the copper coils had a defective wire.Sprinkler Supply Store sent me a replacement, but it was rated for 12 VAC not the required 24 VAC. I'm sure the failed transformer was a fluke and that the product has probably been very reliable . It is a simple device but failure in the copper coils cannot be fixed in the field. I am running the rest of the system I purchased from you on manual and everything is working as expected.”

“The transformer appears to be woking fine, but my Hunter control panel appears to nee replacing. I cannot getbit to work, and I get "No AC" and ":AC" errors. I can set certain times etc, but the water refuses to come on. The only way I can water my lawn is by using the manual controls in the green junction boxes, and this is hard to do and I frequently get soaked when I do it. I definitly need a new controller and a pro to install it. Can you help me? Robert McKinnon”

Hi Peter, I've already followed up privately with you, but we get a lot of calls on this transformer and I think it's good information. Hunter only makes one transformer, it's 24v and works for all of their controllers, but on the label they list it at 12v for one set of wires and 12v for the other set. It all adds up to 24v, and as long as the transformer you received says "Hunter" on it it's definitely a 24v transformer.
