You should be crimping your drip lines any time water pressure approaches 60psi, that's standard potable water pressure from your utility meter. A drip system for gardening/landscaping is a very economical use of potable water, you probably won't even notice it on your water bill with large gardens, so don't chance a lateral line blow-out and water loss when crimps are what you need to prevent that from happening. I recently lost my shallow well flows due to extended drought and low pressure, had to pipe in water from house meter to save garden, and most of my push-fit drip fittings just could not handle the higher pressure. Crimps are cheap and will outlast the rated life of drip line, while hose clamps are cost 10x the price of 1/2in. stainless crimping clamps. Crimping tool has a long handle, easy and effortless, even for someone with limited strength in hands.

The Sprinkler Supply Store was the only online supply that worked with me to get shipping costs down and had everything I needed. All of the items I ordered arrived quickly and well packaged. I'll definitely be calling them anytime I need something for my sprinkler system, which is a rare thing in Fairbanks, Alaska.
