“DISCLAIMER: My review is based on only three years of irrigation system experience and only one system (current residence).
I upgraded my sprinkler system with Rain Bird R-VAN rotary nozzles. My system was installed by previous owner who used the Hunter MP Rotator series. The existing equipment was ~four years old and beginning to show inconsistent and improper function (e.g., sticky pop-up stems, poor nozzle spray, etc.); I repaired/replaced with like-for-like equipment. Ultimately, I grew tired of the tedious and frequent adjustments the older Hunter MPs required and decided to try the Rain Bird R-VAN.
Thus far, I am happy with the Rain Bird R-VAN nozzles. I particularly appreciate their ease of adjustment. They have shown consistent quality and function. I am curious to see how the Idaho winter will affect their function when next spring rolls around. Cheers!”
