“Gauge design quality is poor. Installed it and it worked fairly well although the level reading was a little inconsistent. I could live with that but, then the face got all fogged up all the time and I could not read the gauge. Had to climb up on my 8 foot high tank, remove the cover for a day or so to let it dry out. Then, after a few months, the string would not go back up into the unit as the tank level rose. The spring loaded retracting mechanism is cheap and kept binding up. I like the idea of this gauge but it needs a more robust design for consistent functionality.”
